Curatorial note
Seen in the photograph, the truck’s metal ladder rack rises above the bed, forming a stark horizontal line that meets the tree at the curb. Since acquisition in February 2026, the work has occupied the Magee Avenue curb for 79 days, enduring seasonal snows and daily traffic. In North Philadelphia, this curbside installation remains a patient, unglamorous presence within the streetscape.
