Curatorial note

From the doorway, the doormat orange script appears to spell home, anchoring the scene at the edge of dwelling and hallway. A gray bucket rests on the wood-patterned floor, its liquid catching the overhead light and refracting the spaces flat geometry. Since acquisition in February 2026, this threshold piece has inhabited the Walnut Street interior, offering a quiet, unassuming record of daily occupancy and ongoing maintenance.
