The Long Stand, Vandike Street — North Philadelphia

Curatorial note

From its curbside stance on Vandike Street the van's twin rear doors display a central seam and a small rust patch along the lower panel. Acquired February 2026 through a Police Department commission, it has occupied this curb for the duration of its display. The work anchors the streetscape as a durable presence whose ordinary material life invites consideration of time, maintenance, and municipal surroundings.
