Curatorial note
Seen at the curb beside a stone church, the orange cone anchors the vehicle within the threshold of street and sidewalk. Since acquisition in February 2026, the work has occupied its site for 88 days, remaining a persistent presence in the North Philadelphia streetscape. The museum treats this piece as a durable record of ordinary urban maintenance and the way everyday objects obtain a formal role in the built environment.
