Curatorial note
Seen from the curb, the beige sedan sits at the edge of the street, its rear quarter-panel bearing a dusty patina and a small dent along the lower bumper. Two green windshield stickers anchor the piece to a specific civic moment. Acquired in February 2026, the work has remained in place on Alberta Drive, contributing a stubborn presence to the streetscape. The museum regards it as a durable record of everyday life, turning a routine curbside object into a long-duration sculpture of Philadelphia's public life.
