From its position along the street’s center, the pale centerline marks a longitudinal trace through winter light. Since acquisition in January 2026, the line has endured through repeated vehicle passage and snow accumulation, offering a patient study of urban maintenance in the Philadelphia streetscape. The work sits within the Streets Department’s register as a sustained trace of municipal marking.
