Curbside Vigil, Stiles St — Philadelphia

Curatorial note

Seen from the rear, the metallic gray Acura TL anchors the curb as taillights and trunk line read against the pale wall and rolling door behind it. Acquired in March 2026 and on view for 61 days, the piece occupies a single curbside stance within the Stiles St streetscape. The pole with stacked street signs behind the car situates the work at the intersection of everyday mobility and built infrastructure, a constant in the neighborhood that the museum records.
