The Long Stand, Snowbound Curb — North Philadelphia
Automotive, stationary, maroon paint, snow accumulation
Police Department, est. 2026
79 days on view
Curatorial note
From its position at the curb, the snowbank in the foreground presses against the maroon rear of the SUV and nudges the adjacent white car, anchoring the scene in winter light. Acquired February 2026, the work has occupied its curbside position for 79 days in North Philadelphia, capturing a moment of ordinary urban stasis. The piece preserves the material presence—the paint, the bumper, the snow—at the threshold between movement and stillness.
