Speed Table Across the Street, Suburban Threshold — Gaston Lane
Pavement, traffic calming barrier, yellow with black inserts
Streets Department, est. 2026
85 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen at the street’s threshold, the yellow speed table spans the lane, its three raised segments catching light differently from the asphalt and a lone orange cone marking its edge. Acquired February 2026, this piece has occupied Gaston Lane since installation by the Streets Department, and has been on view for 85 days. The work anchors the curbside in a quiet rhythm of residential street life, inviting attention to the built form as a recurring feature of daily traversal.
