The Long Stand, Snowbound Row — North Philadelphia

Curatorial note

Seen from the curb at 3630 N Lawrence St, the lead car’s front end is almost entirely buried under snow, a sliver of grille peeking through. Since its acquisition in February 2026, the snowbound row has occupied the same curb, forming a patient record of seasonal stillness. This work anchors the North Philadelphia streetscape, inviting attention to the durational presence of ordinary objects in winter light.
