Curatorial note
Bright ribbons braided through the subject's hair frame the face and catch the light against a broad black hat. Since its acquisition in January 2026, the image has stood at 1235 W Huntingdon St as a durable record of personal adornment within public space. This work locates fashion as portable sculpture within the neighborhood's enduring street-facing tableau, inviting continued observation of how individual styling negotiates visibility.
