Curatorial note
Seen from the rear, pale yellow-green flecks settle across the trunk and lower panels, turning the metallic surface into a subdued color field. Since its January 2026 acquisition, the piece has occupied the curb at 234 Richmond St, forming a steady presence within the street’s daily rhythm. The work treats a common municipal object as a durable sculpture of time, inviting focused attention to material change and the quiet perseverance of the urban edge.
