Curatorial note
Seen at the curb along Frankford Avenue, this work renders a license plate as a stubborn fragment of street life. The snow-dusted bumper and rust at the plate housing mark time and exposure within the Northeast Philadelphia streetscape. Acquired January 2026 and on view for 98 days, the piece anchors the neighborhood’s ongoing inventory of ordinary urban remains.
