Curatorial note
Seen at the curb on Kimball Street, the water-filled depression anchors the pavement and mirrors the opposing façade, tying the surface to the surrounding built form. Since its acquisition in January 2026, the work has persisted as a record of material fatigue and hydraulic presence within the streetscape. The museum notes it among the more formally developed works in the South Philadelphia collection.
