Curatorial note
Seen at 1725 S Edgewood Street, the work anchors the curb at the edge of a South Philadelphia streetscape. The rear left quarter panel is wrapped with white tape and patches, exposing an internal metal framework behind the torn bumper cover. Snow rests along the trunk, while daylight highlights the gloss of the white surface and the irregular patchwork. Acquired January 2026 and on view for 100 days, it preserves a persistent, everyday object in the museum's South Philadelphia collection.
