Curatorial note
Seen at Unruh Ave, the work presents a red van as a stationary presence within the street. The dark rear window and Ford badge anchor the composition, while the scratched tail and dusty surface register duration. Since January 2026, the piece has occupied this curbside along the same stretch, a longitudinal record of neighborhood routinized neglect in the daily passage. The museum notes this acquisition as part of a small set documenting long-term objects in the North Philadelphia collection.
