Curatorial note
Seen from the rear, the dark GMC pickup's glossy surface absorbs storefront reflections, anchoring the curb as a fixed presence. Since January 2026, this curbside object has occupied Chestnut Street, becoming a steady element in West Philadelphia's streetscape. The museum regards its reflective finish and fixed placement as a durable index of urban form and temporal persistence within the neighborhood's long durational surface.
