Curatorial note
Seen at the base of a rough, peeling stucco wall, a diagonal stack of weathered lumber rests on the concrete sidewalk. A white downspout along the left edge anchors the composition, while dried leaves and a stray green plastic fragment accumulate at the boards. Acquired January 2026, the work has occupied this corner of Wharton Street since its accession. The piece locates itself in the interface of construction detritus and municipal drainage, a patient presence in the streetscape.
