Curatorial note
Seen from the rear, the SUV's rear window is crossed by the shadow pattern of bare tree branches, turning the glass into a quiet drawing. Since acquisition in January 2026, the work has occupied the curbside at 1680 E Cheltenham Ave, anchoring the street edge in the late-day light. The whiteness of the body contrasts with the darkened undercarriage and the weathered lower panel, evidence of long-term exposure to the street. The piece remains a durable feature of the neighborhood, its presence registered by passersby as part of the everyday rhythm of the avenue.
