Curatorial note
Seen from the curb, the Altima's dust-coated rear fascia anchors the piece in a durational streetscape. Across the 108 days on view, the thin layer of dust on the trunk and lower panels remains conspicuous, underscoring the vehicle as a stationary witness to daily traffic. Acquired January 2026, this work belongs to a quiet set of urban materials that persist in ordinary locations. The car's position beside a row of parked cars and beneath an array of utility lines marks a boundary between order and interruption within South Philadelphia's street life.
