Rear Window Harbinger, Knox Street — North Philadelphia
Automotive, rear-quarter damage, shattered rear window, metallic beige paint with scuffs
Police Department, est. 2026
108 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen from the Knox Street curb, the shattered rear window and dented left rear quarter define the vehicle’s silhouette as a portable record of interruption. Since its acquisition in January 2026, the form has remained on view, bearing scuffs and a dark crease that reveal the passage of time and contact. The work situates material endurance within the Philadelphia streetscape, inviting attention to what persists when a vehicle’s function is no longer in force.
