Curatorial note

Seen from the Knox Street curb, the shattered rear window and dented left rear quarter define the vehicle’s silhouette as a portable record of interruption. Since its acquisition in January 2026, the form has remained on view, bearing scuffs and a dark crease that reveal the passage of time and contact. The work situates material endurance within the Philadelphia streetscape, inviting attention to what persists when a vehicle’s function is no longer in force.
