Curbside Accumulation, Steps and Bins — South Philadelphia
Garbage bins, plastic bags, orange traffic cone, coiled hoses
License & Inspections, est. 2026
110 days on view
Curatorial note
Seen at street level, the orange traffic cone anchors the foreground beside a cluster of wheeled bins and a coil of hoses, creating a compact curbside arrangement. Acquired January 2026 and on view for 110 days, the work persists in the South Philadelphia curb zone, where ordinary objects accrue formal resonance through duration. By foregrounding color, texture, and boundary—black plastics against pale masonry and wet asphalt—the piece offers a sustained meditation on the textures of everyday infrastructure.
