Curatorial note

From a diagonal fissure that is highlighted by a bright reflection across the upper-right quadrant, the work records texture and light on a single pavement surface. Since its acquisition in January 2026, the piece has occupied the curbside plane at 1846 S 24th St in South Philadelphia. The small leaf in the lower foreground anchors the composition in a moment of ordinary urban duration, inviting close attention to material life rather than resolution.
