Nocturnal Vigil, Black Car with Spoiler — Shawmont

From the rear, the car's broad spoiler asserts a formal presence that frames the nocturnal streetscape of Shawmont. Since January 2026, this work has occupied a nocturnal edge of the neighborhood’s parking lot, accruing a static rhythm in the streetlight glare. The Maryland plate anchors the piece in a precise urban moment, while the glossy black surface and the plate’s reflections invite sustained observation of material stillness within a busy curbside panorama.
