Curatorial note
From the curb at 1436 S 31st St, the work anchors the Grays Ferry streetscape as a portable infrastructure relic. The flatbed's surface is etched with rust-streak lines that radiate along its length, a record of repeated use and exposure to the elements. Acquired January 2026, the piece remains on view as a durable trace of urban service life in place.
