The Worn Threshold, Curbside Fracture — Rhawnhurst

Concrete sidewalk, asphalt street, iron drain grates, leaf litter

Streets Department, est. 2026

Curatorial note

Seen at the curb, the crack along the sidewalk edge extends into the street, creating a quiet seam that collects leaf detritus at its threshold. The paired drain grates and the granular textures of concrete and asphalt locate the work within the Rhawnhurst streetscape, where minor surface interruptions persist as the ordinary condition of infrastructure. Acquired January 2026, the piece remains a durable record of material tenure at the city's edge.
