Curatorial note

The work sits at the threshold between mural and curb. The minivan's dark finish catches and refracts the mural's saturated red lettering and blue field, creating a layered image on the vehicle's surface. Since January 2026, the piece has occupied the Frankford Avenue curb in Richmond, articulating a durable intersection of public art and everyday mobility. This acquisition anchors a small set of works that register the persistence of surfaces in the neighborhood.
